Rivers of Recovery is pleased to announce that Mr. Jeffery D. Weekly was recently appointed as the new Chair of our Board of Directors. Additionally, Mr. Dustin Alger and Dr. Keith Tidball have joined our Board of Directors. All three of these new appointments bring their own unique perspectives on veteran health and rehabilitation.

Mr. Weekly runs Capitol Health Solutions, a federal affairs consulting firm specializing in federal health care policy, advocacy and procurement. As company founder, he provides government relations counsel and lobbying services for a diverse set of health industry clients spanning the managed care, pharmaceutical, medical device, telehealth and health system consulting environments.

Prior to Mr. Weekly’s return to Capitol Health Solutions, Mr. Weekly served as the Staff Director for the Subcommittee for Health, Committee on Veterans Affairs in the U.S. Congress. In that capacity, Mr. Weekly was charged with writing legislation, exercising oversight over the Department of Veterans’ Affairs health care delivery, medical research systems and health-related infrastructure.

Before returning to Capitol Hill, Mr. Weekly was Vice President for Equities with the G7 Group, Inc. and the Founder and Principal of Capitol Health Solutions. At the G7 Group Mr. Weekly provided political and legislative counsel to financial institutions on Wall Street including investment banks, mutual and hedge funds. He joined the firm in August of 2003 and built formidable equities-based practices in both the health care and energy sectors. In this capacity Mr. Weekly was a contributor to both Bloomberg News and Radio.

Mr. Weekly served as the Senior Pharmaceutical Consultant to the President’s Task Force to Improve Health Care Delivery for Our Nation’s Veterans. In this capacity, he was responsible for analyzing the pharmaceutical and health care delivery systems within the U.S. Departments of Defense and Veterans’ Affairs and providing policy recommendations to the President of the United States that fostered increased levels of inter-departmental collaboration while improving the efficiency of benefits delivery to veterans and military retirees.
